Nyonya Tamarind Fried Shrimp (Prawn) with Mushroom Recipe


This sweet and sour nyonya tamarind fried prawn with mushroom is really delicious and appetising! Perfect for busy weekday dinner because it requires minimal ingredients and can be ready in 30 minutes.

What you need? 

500g prawn 

1 packed Mushroom

2 tbsp tamarind paste 

Sugar 

Salt

1 tbsp oil 


Steps:

  1. Devein and cut the prawn. 

  2. Marinate prawn with tamarind paste, salt and sugar. 

  3. Heat up a wok with olive oil, add prawn and pan fry until at medium then add mushroom and turn to low heat until tamarind juice dries up. 

  4. Serve immediately with warm white rice.
