
Fragrant and delicious Chinese Braised Fish Fillet Recipe using fermented Soybean. Really satisfying to go with black rice and simple salad 🥗.
Ingredients
400g fish fillets
1 tbsp shredded ginger
2 stalks spring onions (sliced, plus extra for garnish)
1 stalk Choy Sum/Bok Choy (thinly sliced)
1 red chilli (thinly sliced, plus extra for garnish)
Seasoning
1 tbsp dark soy sauce
1 tbsp fermented soybean paste (taucheo)
2 tbsp sugar
1 cup water
½ tsp lemon juice
Dash of sesame oil
Directions
Heat cooking oil in a wok, sauté shredded ginger until fragrant, add spring onion, red chilli and add seasoning ingredients. Bring it to a boil.
Add fish cutlet and cook for about 5-7 minutes until the fish cutlet fully absorbs the flavours and the sauce slightly thickens
Transfer the fish to a serving plate and garnish with spring onion and chilli. Serve with steamed brown rice.
