Korean Fried Rice Recipe


Do you love kimchi? 

This versatile Korean Fried Rice Recipe is an inexpensive, simple and extremely delicious Sunday meal made basically with kimchi and leftover rice. Topped with a fried egg and seaweed. So good! 


Ingredients 

1 cup kimchi

3 cup leftover rice

1 tbsp shallot 

1 tbsp gochujang 

2 tbsp sesame oil

1/4 Kimchi juice

Salt & pepper to taste 


Topping

Sesame seed

Fried egg 

1/2 tbsp dry seaweed 


Directions: 

  1. Heat up a wok with sesame oil, add shallot & kimchi. Stir fry until kimchi turns soft and deep in colour or until fragrant. 

  2. Add rice and all ingredients, stir fry until everything is well incorporated, around 5 mins. 

  3. Top with optional fried egg, garnish white sesame seed, dry seaweed or chopped scallions.
