Easy ABC Chicken Soup Recipe

It had been some time I didn’t cook soup and my family start to complain 😅. This ABC chicken soup is nourishing, delicious and excellent for a rainy day! I added crushed black pepper to intensify the taste and eliminate body dampness. #祛濕 

This ABC Chicken Soup has only 5 ingredients required: Tomato, carrot, potato, onion and chicken can be ready within 1 hour. #记得喝汤

According to Chinese tradition, in order to adapt to Warm and humid weather here, we should drink or eat food that clears away heat and eliminates dampness. Food like barley, black pepper, white radish, green bean etc. I’m trying my best 😅Hope you’re doing well too. 


Ingredients 

1 whole chicken, blanched 

3 tomato, cubed 

1 carrot, cubed 

1 onion, cubed 

3 russet potatoes, cubed 

2 tbsp crushed Black Pepper 

½ cup red dates 

Salt to taste 


Steps 

  1. Heat up a pot of water, blanched the whole chicken. Drain & Set aside.

  2. Add all ingredients into a pot and cook for 1 hour under low heat. 

  3. Season with salt to taste and ready to serve
